I went there for a quick pastie and hot chocolate today, i was hungry but in a hurry. The hot chocolate was ok but the pasty was so scalding hot I couldn't even pick it up for 15 mins. The pasty wasn't 'traditional' but had basic cubed veg and not very nice meat, I had to take some of it out as it was quite gristly. The pastry wasn't crispy as though it was from the oven, it was seriously greasy. I ended up scalding my tongue and 6hrs later, I'm still regretting going there.
A couple sat on a table opposite me and one of them also had a pastie - by the look on his face and his actions, his pastie was also scalding hot so this wasn't a 'one-off'.
