The Bridal Boutique Swindon Reviews
I went and chose my dress from Bridal Boutique yesterday and had a great experience with them and their staff. I actually won my dress in a competition with Sincerity Bridal and Swindon was the nearest stockist from my home town of Hereford. Myself and my mum got the train down and although very excited, just before we entered the shop I got a little apprehensive. 'What if I don't like any which I am allowed to choose from', 'my wedding is still a long time away and I want to loose lots of weight before hand, so what size do I commit myself to today.'
All unnecessary worrying, as soon as we walked in and the very helpful assistant had already taken out all of the dresses I could choose from, it became clear they were all beautiful and I was one very lucky lady to be able to select one from this range. (my budget would never have stretched under normal circumstances). My dream dress is now on order and Jane and the team couldn't have done enough for me, despite the fact I unusually wasn't even handing over any money. Jane has even offered to go the extra mile and help me find a trusted seamstress to do my alterations back in Hereford by going through Sincerity to see if they can find someone who can help.
Thanks very much all for a very pleasant experience. Will see you again in January when I come to pick it up :)

I received excellent, friendly service when I bought my dress from Bridal Boutique. The staff were so helpful and accommodating and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. My dress is absolutely beautiful and the alterations were perfect. I felt like a princess on my wedding day!
We went back recently as my sister is getting married in a couple of months and the staff were again so welcoming and all their help was very much appreciated. A special thank you to Lucy who was fantastic in helping my sister find her perfect dress. I would recommend Bridal Boutique to anyone without hesitation.

My daughter bought her wedding dress from the Bridal Boutique and we were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff. They were all lovely and gave honest opinions when asked without being pushy. My daughter could not decide on if she wanted a veil or not and we were not pushed into buying one, they encouraged us to go away and think about it before she made her decision.
I have read some of the other reviews and my response is that yes I was surprised by the cost of a wedding dress but after some research I realised they are no more expensive than other places and are beautifully made.
Yes you have to ring a bell to enter and then are locked in but what bride wants lots of people crowding around when she is trying on a dress for such a special event in her life.
I highly recommend anyone to visit the Bridal Boutique for a wedding dress.

Today I purchased my wedding dress from Bridal boutique and I couldn't be happier. All the staff were amazing and so friendly, making my experience an enjoyable one. After being told by several people to avoid Bridal Boutique due to it being expensive, I thought I would see for myself and I got my dress for nearly £300 cheaper than other dresses I had been looking at . Jane and her husband are so friendly and the staff helping you get into the dress were amazing. I had Margaret who helped me and she was lovely. They all seem to really care about their customers and make you each feel special :-) thank you Bridal Boutique. My advice to fellow bride to be's would be don't listen to the negative reviews and see for yourselves!!!!!!!!!!!

l went into bridal boutique and was helped by a lovely lady called Victoria and Jane they couldn't help me enough l was so impressed there are lots of dresses to choose from l had my friend with me and she also said they are lovely lady s
who were very helpful lm so pleased that l have brought my wedding dress from
bridal boutique and would Recommend it to any one who is getting married to go in and have a look its well worth it :)

The dress's Bridal Boutique offer are stunning, the shop floor staff are fantastic and friendly.
HOWEVER...... extremely disappointed with the alterations! £285 for alterations that my 2year old daughter could have done better.
After trying to fix their mistake, It was left the dress would be picked up, being told I would not need to retry the dress on....... so on the day of my wedding I find that the clip to hold my dress up, has a hook and no eye, leaving my poor bridesmaids to tie me in the dress and then spend all day worrying about it !!
The owner refused responsibility and we heard every excuse under the sun, and she became rude and abnoctious ! quite frankly disgusting!
I would definitely recommend the stock, but would NOT have the alterations done there.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to the wonderful ladies in Bridal Boutique, and a special thank you to Lucy on helping me choose my beautiful dress.
I was very apprehensive about dress shopping, but Lucy made the whole experience enjoyable, I felt at ease the whole time, and she gave me great suggestions and opinions, and listened attentively to my ideas.
They were the first shop we visited, we only had one additional appointment at another shop, but I can whole heartedly tell you that the service we received in this store, was fantastic and by far the best.
It was clear to see that Lucy, and the other ladies, all had a great deal of knowledge and experience, and this really helped me in making my decision.
The ordering process, fittings and alterations were all explained to me before purchase, and then once again once I had made my decision to buy.
The range of dresses they have are absolutely beautiful, and I am so delighted that I managed to find ‘The one’ in this store. I will definitely be recommending them in the future to any ladies looking for their wedding dresses.

Dear Madam
We are very sorry to hear of your apparent dissatisfaction with Bridal Boutique,
but you were fully aware of our terms and conditions regarding fittings, when your daughter decided to purchase her gown, which very clearly states that we do not do fittings on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. This is because we do not have a seamstress on these days .
I hope that you have a pleasant shopping experience with your next daughter and that your chosen shop lives up to all your expectations . We really would like to have had the opportunity to have discussed your apparent grievances, personally, rather than a posting on social media and have to ask why it has taken you such a long time to do so !!

This a review from an experience I had a few years ago. At the time I was unaware of online reviews otherwise I would have done one there and then. My daughter and I had a terrible experience with this shop. Her sister is getting married shortly and this is why I am again looking at bridal shops and the reason I am compelled to write this review now. The owner of the shop was happy enough to take our money, knowing my daughter lives up north, a 4-5 hour journey, promising that fitting appointments could be arranged to accommodate this. The reality was very different once we made the purchase. We found her to be completely inflexible, refusing to make Saturday appointments, or even late afternoon on a Friday. As my daughter is a teacher this presented her with a logistical nightmare. To cut a very long story short, she (the owner) eventually and very reluctantly, after my husband begged and begged her, agreed to allow my daughter to try on her dress at 4.30 on a Friday. That was the one and only 'concession'. It was a very hurried affair, they couldn't wait to get rid of us, refused any further fittings (even though further alterations were necessary) unless we agreed to come on a weekday at a time they stipulated and insisted we take the dress with us there and then, whereas under 'normal' circumstances they would keep it until nearer the wedding. The owner's attitude throughout all of this was appalling, condescending verging on rude. You wouldn't think we were paying customers, it was like she was doing us a massive favour. My daughter left the shop in tears, neither of us knew what to do next. We ended up taking the dress to a local dressmaker, who finished off the alterations for us (obviously at an additional cost) and looked after it until the wedding. Any bride-to-be will be aware of the excitement and anticipation of trying on their wedding dress for the first time. My daughter's experience resulted in an absolute nightmare and the bride-to-be in floods of tears. It certainly put a dampener on things from then on and it took a long time for her recapture the excitement of the forthcoming wedding. Shame on you Bridal Boutique. It goes without saying I will never step foot in the place again and my younger daughter will certainly be looking elsewhere. Beware!

Amazing experience and fantastic staff.
The lady who took our booking was extremely helpful and friendly.
We arrived today to find a dress for my sisters wedding next Christmas we were greated by Victoria who made my sister feel very comfortable and had already gathered the dresses we saw on the first visit to the store. She gave honest helpful and friendly advise and made the experience extremely amazing.
After a long struggle visiting other stores to find the perfect dress after only 1hr in bridal boutique my sister found her dream dress and thanks to Jane we were able to get a beautiful vail to go with it!
To make the experience even better Jane also gave my sister a beautiful box of champaign chocolates and a beautiful wedding diary, and since trying the dresses on are such a big part of the experience Jane has also invited my sister back to take photos of her dress for her scrap book we are making.
So to everyone at bridal boutique on behalf of my sister (the bride) my mum and myself thankyou so much you made what should of been a great day,a day to remember. We could not fault a thing.

Wow ! Isn't it just amazing that when someone has something to say they find it so easy to hide behind the computer and give a bad review . Perhaps you would care to elaborate on who you are and what exactly your grievance was .
I think 24 years in a family run , very successful bridal business with many satisfied customers speaks for its self, if this is a genuine grievance I urge you to contact me personally.

I would like to say what a superb service we had from Jane and her staff for our daughter's recent wedding.Nothing was too much trouble and from the very first time we set foot in the shop we were made more than welcome.Their expertise and advice ensured that not only our daughter but her four bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning on the day.The staff were all very friendly and never pushy and were genuinely interested in our wedding and made it personal.Having visited other shops in the area and just been pointed in the direction of dresses hanging or abruptly told we needed an appointment before they would speak to us,we were not impressed.This shop I would highly recommend and have done, for the excellent way in which you are made to feel special from the moment you set foot in the shop to the actual day.Every bride deserves that well done Bridal Boutique.

Simply the worst service possible! Such a disappointing experience towards our daughter's big day. The staff made promises that a dress could be altered to fit when this turned out not to be the case. This was confirmed by their own seamstress but they have steadfastly refused a refund despite the dress being over 2 sizes too big and totally unwearable.They clearly make false claims in order to achieve the sale. Staff are rude and unwelcoming. A horrendous experience for a bride to be!

Wow !!! My search with my daughter for prom dresses was made so much easier, the staff was so helpful they took away all of then stresses and made my daughter look and feel like a princess. I would fully recommend a visit to Simply Elegant, they certainly are the most experience I visited ( and I must say I did visit other shops) and my daughter felt very comfortable with them. I have since recommended other friends to the shop who have come away as happy as we did. Thank you Simply Elegant I will be using your skills and great hospitality when my next daughter has her prom. Thankyou SR
